Applications of Chicken wire

Installation Guide – Chicken Wire
Step 1: Mark Layout
Determine enclosure perimeter. Mark stake positions (1.0 – 2.0m spacing). For square/rectangular runs, mark corners.
Step 2: Drive Support Stakes
Drive steel stakes or wooden posts into ground using a mallet or post driver. Maintain alignment with string line. Stakes should be firmly embedded.
Step 3: Unroll Chicken Wire
Unroll mesh along the fence line. Trim to length with wire cutters. Overlap ends at corners or gates.
Step 4: Attach to Stakes
Secure mesh to stakes using U-nails (for wood), wire ties (for steel), or staples. Attach at top, middle and bottom intervals. Pull mesh taut to prevent sagging.
Step 5: Bury Bottom Edge (Optional)
For predator protection, bury the bottom 10‑15cm of mesh underground or bend outward and cover with soil.
